Ellis Whittam: Our History, Mission & Values
|
Ellis Whittam has first class pedigree. It was set up by leading employment law solicitor Mark Ellis, in 2004. Mark was an equity partner and Head of Employment Law at a successful firm of commercial solicitors where he established a reputation for giving no nonsense, practical and pragmatic advice to business clients.
Frustrated by the charging and organisational structure of the traditional law firm and recognising a gap in the market for high quality fixed fee legal services, Mark set up Ellis Whittam. The plan was to apply the very high quality standards of a leading law firm, to the entrepreneurial fixed fee business model of a regulatory consultancy firm.
Today, EW is a successful, modern business with an enviable (and happy) client base. It has a simple Mission and a clearly defined set of Values:
Ellis Whittam's Mission is to provide the best fixed fee employment law/HR and health & safety support/compliance services in the UK.
Our core Values at Ellis Whittam are:
To do our best to provide a first class, professional service to our clients and our new business prospects;
To be courteous and honest in our dealings with our colleagues, clients, prospects, advisers and suppliers; and
To treat our colleagues, clients, prospects, advisers and suppliers equally, with respect and dignity.
Ellis Whittam is is ranked by the Sunday Times as one of the best companies to work for in the UK. It is also rated by the UK Best Companies Guide as an “outstanding” business.
