IOSH Directing Safely

This course is aimed at those people with strategic responsibility for health and safety management within an organisation. This course empowers directors and business owners to meet their legal duties and gives the knowledge and confidence to cascade the safety message down through your organisation, to achieve maximum value from allocated resources.

IOSH Managing Safely

IOSH Health & Safety Management for Health Professionals

Never has it been more important that you get your health and safety management in order. Failure to achieve the high standards against which the Care Quality Commission assess you will have severe consequences.

Ellis Whittam has developed this unique IOSH accredited course for those who simply cannot give up 4 days to attend the Managing Safely course but still take their responsibilities seriously. The course is relevant to General Practices, the NHS, Dentists and others involved in the provision of treatment and health services.

This course is possibly unique in covering such a broad range of topics in such depth over just 2 days. There is no examination of sectors that are of no relevance to you. It is entirely focused on matters relevant to health professionals and CQC outcomes.

The course has modules in Risk Assessment & Risk Control, Human Factors, Understanding Your Responsibilities, Identifying Hazards, Investigating Accidents and Incidents and Measuring Performance.

NEBOSH National General Certificate

This course is for those people who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues, whom help to manage risks and are responsible for legal compliance. The course will help you:

• Develop an underpinning knowledge of health and safety legislation and its impact

• Assist your organisation’s safety management programme

• Assess workplace hazards and develop control measures

• Form a basis for a future career in occupational safety and health

• Qualify to apply for Technician membership of IOSH and use the letters TechIOSH after your name.
